Carlos de la Mota has been the big surprise of the Dominican Republic elections. The well-known actor, who finished his architecture career while excelling in international soap operas, has set aside the performance after his role as Doctors, Lifeline, to make a career in politics. He has been appointed a member of the cabinet of the new Dominican President as Deputy Minister for Dominican Foreign Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) and will act as Director General of the Institute of Dominicans and Dominicans abroad (INDEX).The actor has been very proud of the new position of which he has secured, is fully aware. "Today begins a new Story for All," he wrote alongside his first image on the steps of the National Palace shortly before he promised office. His colleagues, Sebastian Rulli, Marc Clotet, Alex Duran or Julián Gil have been some of the first to congratulate him on fulfilling one of his dreams.
