Trump threatens to cut funding to New York and other protest scenarios

US President Donald Trump threatened wednesday to cut federal funds to cities where there have been notable protests against racism, including New York, Washington, Seattle and Portland, Oregon, which he called ‘anarchist jurisdictions’.

Trump signed a white house document stating that his government ‘will not allow federal taxpayer dollars to finance cities that have deteriorated into lawless areas.’The representative ordered U.S. Attorney General William Barr to publish within two weeks a list of ‘anarchist jurisdictions’ that have ‘allowed violence and destruction of property to persist, and who have refused to take reasonable steps to counter those criminal activities.’
